Dr. Mel is dedicated to making each of her patients as happy and as comfortable as possible. She deems it a personal challenge to work with fearful patients to understand their needs and to change their perceptions about dentistry. Through patient education and patience, she engages patients and motivates them to become more active in their comprehensive health as well as their oral health.
While Dr. Mel enjoys restoring and extracting teeth, she especially enjoys esthetic dentistry including prosthetic dentistry (crowns, bridges, partial and full dentures, as well as implant restoration), smile restoration, and limited orthodontics (such as Clear Correct and Invisalign).
Dr. Mel’s hobbies include fishing, basketball, reading, and traveling. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, National Dental Association, and the Old North State chapter of the North Carolina Dental Society.
Dr. Garcia, a native of Puerto Rico, received his DMD from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras in 1987. He practiced dentistry in his private practice in Puerto Rico until 2007.
In March 2007, he and his family moved to North Carolina and he has been practicing dentistry in the Tar Heel State for 11 years now. During his last tenure, he focused seven of those years on working with children and young adults. He now practices family dentistry, increasing the spectrum of help in meeting the whole family’s dental needs.
During his time off, he enjoys family time with his wife Susan. They enjoy cooking and traveling. They love to visit their adult children and granddaughter. They are looking forward to becoming more involved in their community and helping others.
Dr Garcia is very excited about being in Cary and can’t wait to meet all of you!
